Differences between the ATF 55E and ATF 55EQ

Folks,

What are the main differences between the 55E and 55EQ?

Will both saws work on the rails that come with say an MFT/3?

I thought the Q stood for the adjustable electronic speed control,

But I googled the atf e, and that had the turndial aswell, perhaps they just added the Q with the TS saws, and there are plenty of differences between an atf 55 and a ts 55. (I couldn't find a atf 55 eq)

Just some random ones: springloaded riving knife, plug it cord, toolless adjustment to guiderail, easier bladechange (the green lever locks the depth and the bladerotation), splinterguard on the other side of the blade aswell

I thought that E stands for electronic control, and Q stands for plug it cord..
But i'm not sure.. B stands for electronic brake tho..

Rick is right, the Q stands for the plugit, which is why the atf 55eq doesn't exist. Link to thread with abbreviations

As for the mtf3, both types will work.
We have both models, but I prefer using the atf with the old style rails. The steel baseplate tends to make scratches in the green slide tape, and those scratches increase the wear on the alloy base of the ts55.
But if you have just one saw, this shouldn't matter.

Don't think the NA market get brakes (B models). It's either cheaper that way or it's a 110v thing I'm guessing
