Differences between US and UK Festool cordless batteries

I was wondering if anyone knows if the Festool batteries for the cordless tools are the same on both sides of the pond.  Hypothetically if my father brought over the HKC 55 as a gift from the UK, could the battery be charged with the US charger, and would the batteries bought in the US work on the UK HKC 55?

This is all theoretical of course.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Robert

Batteries are the same, only the chargers differ (on mains voltage).

If it is 110v, then maybe only the plug differs?
I think NEC and Euro colours are different. (Eu is brown and blue.)
Or a travel plug is even easier.

Festool don't make chargers for UK 110V; 230V only.

The UK batteries and chargers come with a side of Bangers and Mash...... [wink]

We use proper electricity 240 v with a proper 3 point plug because were british and have to be different than the rest of the world when i say different what i mean is better  ha ha

........and to add some balance to this it is also the reason we don't have some of the machines available [sad]

Electrical supplies are standardised across Europe (230V +/-10% @50Hz) and have been for some time, so if a machine is sold in Germany I don't see how our electrical supply can be a reason why it isn't sold here.

Or are you saying some machines aren't sold here purely because it's not economically viable to change the plug?

It was meant as humour.
However - any change to a production process for any product from any business will effect the economics of the product. An example is the 110v in the U.K as some changes are required so the costs add up

Thanks for all the comments.  The reason for the ask is that I am looking at the HKC 55 as an alternative for the 55 track saw.  Since we cannot get the HKC 55 in the US I was looking at getting it from the UK.  The US has a 18v 5.2 amp battery, but with a different product number as the UK version.  Will the US battery work in the UK product ( I think so) and wil the US charger charge the UK battery.
The battery is the BPC18 (same name in the us), but what charger is used for this?

Thanks

To my knowledge all Festool batteries work in all machines all over the world.
And the batteries can be charged with every charger Festools sells in the specific countries.
Only the chargers itself are different in countries with 230V and 110V USA.

('Cough cough') 230V +10% / -6%. Plugs are plug tops but I'm not that picky as to mention it :)
