Electrical supplies are standardised across Europe (230V +/-10% @50Hz) and have been for some time, so if a machine is sold in Germany I don't see how our electrical supply can be a reason why it isn't sold here.

Or are you saying some machines aren't sold here purely because it's not economically viable to change the plug?

('Cough cough') 230V +10% / -6%. Plugs are plug tops but I'm not that picky as to mention it

No, it changed from +10/-6 to +/-10 a few years ago, to bring us into line with the rest of Europe...
