Matches Stickley "Highlands" trestle table.  Cherry sealed with 1:7 diluted Elmer's (anti blotch) then dyed red-brown, GF Seal-A-Cell, then seven thin coats of GF Arm-R-Seal satin, all wiped on.

It is 44 x 78 closed as shown, opens to 114 with the two 18" leaves that store under the top.  DW said it looked like a bumper pool table without bumpers before I mounted the equalizer slides and top.

First use of my new-to-me (gently used) Domino 500 and Rotex 125.

I wish that I could make a piece of furniture like that.

Great job!

Gene, the dining table came out very nice!  Well done!

Would like to see the table in some more photos with better lighting!!!

The table came out really nice. Did you make the chairs also?

Nice job on the table! Cherry can be tough to finish - looks like you nailed it!

More photos, these from before.  Layout of part blanks, to see what dominos might be right for the joinery.

Then some parts with holes.

Pics of the preceding table, the one in the breakfast nook.  It is table-central here in these parts.  Ash, dyed black, glazed black, then clearcoated using the same wipe-on method.  I am in a rut.

Also a pic of the trestle-box of the new cherry piece, showing one of the equalizer slides.

Back to the cherry piece.  Here you see the leaves on my bench.  Tops all a heavy 7/8" thick, with the under-round done with hand planes.

Couple pics of the unfinished table.

Now on to finishing a couple of bow-armed Morris chairs I did in QSWO, then a cherry display case, and cutting for a tile-topped coffee table also in QSWO.

If you are a Sketchup user, search the 3D Warehouse for my model of the dining table.  Search term "highlands dining table" should bring it up.

No, I did not do the chairs.  They are by Stickley.

Might try chairs sometime, but not right now.

Gene, you've accomplished some very nice work with these tables.  Thank you for sharing the additional photos.
