I bought a garage load of tools which included a Festool Cleantec vac. The hose is shot and I need a quick fix. So, I thought I'd just buy some plastic hose and transfer the dust port connection fitting to the end of the new hose. How does one go about removing said fitting?

If you look on the side of the fittings you'll see two small tabs which you can press down with a screwdriver. Press to unlock the fittings and take them apart.

There's a tutorial with pictures somewhere on this site but I don't know whre exactly, maybe somebody else will post the link here.

Re using any hose, just note that an inner section of the Festool hose fittings actually 'screws' on to the Festool  hose ridges. Therefore the fittings may not attach to a non Festool hose.
