There is a new show, at least new to me, on DIY Tuesday mornings at 6AM MDT called Freeform Furniture with Amy Devers.  Last week she used some Festools but this morning she used the original hand sanding block, 55 saw, mft and fence, guide rail, ct vac, drill and 150/3 (or 150/5) sander.  Festool was also mentioned in the credits.

First time I have seen so may Festools used on one show.  Ok, who at Festool gets the accolades for this show?   ;)

Neill,
Amy's show I believe is a rerun from a series she did 3 or 4 seasons ago. My recollection of the early series was that she had so many way-out ideas that it probably didn't appeal to the woodworker...however cute she is. If you look at the typical DIY program, they carry more substantial advice that can be used. Amy strayed into welding, iron work, Lucite bending and everything else imaginable. I have a signed poster of her in the shop (next to Norm's) and keep it there because she is cute (now married) but not because she is a woodworker to honor. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design which is a good establishment.

John,

You are a real treasure trove of all that is important to woodworkers.  I appreciate the information and the photo.  You definitely have an eye for pretty ladies.  As I said, the show was not necessarily new, just new to me.

You are correct about the projects.  Last week she built a nest of 3 tables with one of them made from Lucite.  This week, the project was a CD rack made from walnut ply with aluminum shelf brackets and alphabet indexes.

Are you trying to say that Amy is cuter than Norm?  OK, she is.

Whatever it is, it is better than listening to the news and weather, over and over again in the morning.  "Stacy, will we be seeing any snow?" .  Ten minutes later, "Stacy, will we be seeing any snow?"  Ten minutes later...

John,

Not the Stacy I was talking about, but THANK YOU!!  She too is cuter than Norm.  ;)

Personally I love the fact she worked with wood, metal and plastic. If I had a shop of any substance I would be doing the same. I just happen to like welding and wood and working with plastics. I would love to have a TIG welder and plastic bending and vacuum forming tools.
