Howdy,
Thought I would try my hand at a Sys-Cart, as it looked fairly straight forward project.  Also, was not able to get a new one locally plus I had some surplus cabinet doors that I purchased years ago that were laminate covered on both sides.
The color of the laminate was pretty good for Festool but I thought that I would like to protect the particle board with drive in T edging and thought that the black I had on hand would be rather uninspiring.  Did a little Google search and eBay came up with it in small quantities: Bright Green T edging
Basically, this was all I had to buy.  Had some surplus casters and everything else was scrap except for the wing nuts.  Had to fab housings for sliding catches from sheet metal, a slotted wood piece could work just as well.
Carts measure 15.25" x 21.50"

Hey, thanks for posting this!  I'm glad you made a new thread since it will be easier to search for in the future.

That was some great work on the sheet metal sliding catches and I really like the color scheme.

Thanks for sharing!

[member=5154]paulymatic[/member]  what is the orange channel? Something off the shelf?

thanks

No, it is some scrap plastic (UHMW) that I had laying around.  You could do the same thing with hardwood.  It was 3/4" thick and I made mine about 1 3/8" wide.

Thanks. So it was solid and you routed or drilled out the channel?

I have some UHMW in 3/4 around I may give it a try.

I milled it, but you could certainly route it, may want to take the time to jig it.  Also, you could drill out a recess and clean up with a good sharp chisel.  Cuts very nicely with chisel when taking out small bits at a time.
