DIY wax or plastic dip for router bits and saw blades

Hi

I live in a wet environment and sometimes store stuff in garage

Was wondering if anyone has ever dipped their bits or blades in bee wax or liquid plastic on their own for long term storage

Does anyone think bees wax could be a way of making this work ?

When I send out a saw blade for sharpening they always come back with a plastic like coating on the teeth.  Call a place that sharpens saw blades and ask them what they use.

This is the same or very similar to the stuff on new router bits, I've used it in the past.
