Hello!

I am living in Norway and have since december 2016 tried to buy Festool Product without Luck, specially router equipment. Have also tried in Sweden and Germany, but none of them can deliver. Anybody know why?? Is Festool selling to much, or is it something else which is the problem??

Regards
Kåre!

I have read about recent stock issues at dealers in the UK, they are having issues getting some items from Germany. These seems to be delays of a week or two. Perhaps it is the same for the dealers you are trying.

And  [welcome] to the FOG!

Hi,

Welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

I can't speak for Festool, but I have heard of similar experiences, especially in regards to routers/ router accessories and it was named a problem within the supply chain.

Maybe [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can shed a little light on this? Although Europe is not his home market.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Despite my deep Norwegian heritage, I don't know anything about what's happening with Festool in Norway. I'll have to bring some other people into this one. Let me see what I can find.

I know that one very large and reputable Festool dealer in the UK is having difficulty getting hold of a lot of stuff, even basic things like Sys 4 Sortainers. There was some talk that not only have the not been able to get hold of stock easily, but that they were also having problems getting the usual level of dealer support from the technical dept. and service dept. There was some speculation/whispers that there might be some changes happening in Festool with regards to organisational structure and business model. But this could have just been idle speculation/musings as I don't know who the dealer's sources were.

A search here brings up information that FESTOOL Norway was an importer (like Australia) in the past and not owned by FESTOOL.  Perhaps things are different now.

That might explain availability issues.

Are you saying that they are now owned by Festool and that is why they are having troubles?
