I was finally able to use the horizontal base and it worked great. [smile]
Nothing else I have could have done this.
I trimmed some cabinet face trim. It's very easy to dial in the precise depth so it cuts flush without dinging the sides.
I used the Festool straight bit. I had to put it all the way down to the collet to make it work.
When I have time, I'll make the PM mod to increase the utility.
