Do you like your Sys-Roll?

Or more importantly, will *I* like the Sys-Roll?  [big grin]

I'm not nearly as mobile as the pros, but I do frequently have to take systainers on the road to the same few places.  It's getting tiresome hoisting them repeatedly in and out of the back of my SUV.  Is the Sys-roll a good solution?

Sure. They are nice for a hand truck that Systainers attach to. Just imagine sticking a stack of Systainers on a hand truck. Sound useful to you? Well there ya go!

I currently only have a SYS-cart and that has already proven to be tremendously helpful.
But I am eying a SYS-roll as well.
Way more stable to move over bumps and up/down stairs from what I‘ve seen.

LOL, it's not like I didn't get the concept.  Just can't decide if it will make as big of a difference as I think.  Only two ways to find out I guess:  (1) Post a question on the FOG, (2) do it!

Just keep in mind the SYSROLL is not collapsible - a SYSCART may be a better option, at least one that takes up less space on the truck...

I love my Sys-roll.  I rarely use it for moving Systainers though.  It is a great lite weight handtruck with a light weight limit.  Just moved an old crt tv out of the house down the stairs, etc.  I move stuff I don't want to lift.  It lives outside in the elements.  I know I should be banned for that, but just being honest.

Where it really shines or is diffent from a handtruck is that once it is standing upright it has additional casters that allow you to push and rotate at will.  And lock.

Frank Pellow put his thru the works and that is why my wife bought me a tax deductible Christmas present.  I don't use it everyday but when that stack of Systainers needs to be moved or that 80 lb houseplant has to go outside or in, it is called to action.

I like mine, enough to buy a couple more... It's  handled being bumped over gravel, rocks, dirt and grass, up and down stairs and hills. The strap is a big help, of course, but I haven't gotten the hang of strapping the track to the side where the slots are in the base part. The tracks just pop out of the cart when I try to move them to the truck from indoors. It rolls really nice indoors on all four wheels.

I use this it folds down to pretty much flat (e few inches) very sturdy

I’ve got two and love them both. I’m not a pro but have a shop at home and I use them there all the time. And when I do go out, it’s nice going up the stairs to the farm or wherever with them.

I am a hobbiest/DIY/honey-do type and I really like mine.  It seems a bit flimsy because it is plastic but I have yet to damage it or have a load fall off.  Locking the systainers together and using the tether strap are important when traversing stairs or rough terrain.

In the shop I use it sort of like a service cart to bring my favourite items to where I am working.  For work outside the shop it is almost always used unless it is a minor task that can be handled with the tool tote.

Most of the systainers I typically have on the Sys-Roll are drawer and sort style so the don't need to be unstacked.

I wish it folded but when loading up I wish even more I had a van instead of a pickup truck.

Thanks all.  I've got several Sys-carts which are great for storing and moving systainer stacks around the shop, but not really helpful for transporting them.  I'm going to give the sys-roll a whirl.

Yeah, I like it.

I move around a lot on building sites and its good for the larger commercial ones (nice flat concrete floors and not masses of mud).
I've put a length of Unwin track up one side, bolted through to a length of ground flat stock set into the side hole that run the full height of it.

I've not got pictures of it yet but plan on using that to carry various tools that I like to be accessible.

The guiderail recess thing in the bottom has a stupid little bit of plastic that I couldn't work out a use for and got in the way of me putting the rails into so I attacked them with a multicutter, no regrets on that one.

I really like mine.  I keep a sys1 on the bottom, then my 3-drawer systainer that i keep all the dogs and clamps in, and a sys-MFT on top.  I park it under the front of my MFT+ when not being used, then roll it out.  It’s handy to then set the domino or routers on off to the side of the work area.  I move it over to my MFT-type assembly area so all the clamps, etc are handy, and if using it for tracksaw operations, gives me a place to set the saw down rather than on the floor.  When working on the cars or detailing, I roll it to where I’m working for a comfortable place to set things down, and I can clamp on the top if needed.  Very versatile piece.

Here are the pictures of my "topper".  I do not attach it to the Sys-Roll or the systainer.  Rather I wanted it easy to remove in case I need to access tools in the systainers.  Further I never put power tools on it so I am not that's worried about it falling off.  I did put a border on the bottom to outline the systainer.  This outline forces me to make sure it is balanced when in use.

Maybe someone can rotate the mages.  If not I will look again tonight to see if I can rotate.
