I have a CT48 Dust Extractor. I generally use it with a 3.5M 36 mm hose on the boom arm. Would suction suffer if I connected a 3.5M 27 mm hose to make the total length 7 M? It would help me use the extractor on the other side of my workshop without moving it there each time and possibly make it easier to use it with my sander with the 27 mm hose. (I don't want to switch the hoses each time if I don't have to.

The length of hose would effect the suction on any vacuum. That being said I have used my CT with that same hose combination and had no trouble. You especially won't have any problem for a sander since you don't need anything close to the the max anyway.
You will need to come up with a quick connect adapter to connect them unless you want to change the hose end fitting on the D36 every time. I did find that the D36 tool end will fit pretty well into the CT end of the add on hose. The suction will keep them together. Not a strong connection but good enough for some things as long as you are not pulling on the connection much.

The AS connection will certainly be broken between the tool and the AS D36 hose. So that will not be working in that set up. It probably won't make much difference suction wise and will be fine to use but you may get the occasional static shock. Depends on what you are doing and the humidity conditions. Since you already have the hose why not give it a try?

Will try it. There's no sense buying an anti-static hose (although I did see one in the Festool Classifieds) and finding out it just doesn't work as well as I wanted it to. Everything works so well right now, I wouldn't want to mess with it too much. A longer hose would be convenient sometimes and with the sanders the smaller hose does seem to be easier to use. I'll work out something. Thanks for the information.
