A few years ago, when I purchased my bosch drills, they both came in the same box. A bosch GSR18Li and a GDR impact driver. They have been great to use in the professional world. One for piloting and one for driving home screws. Both came in one box and a spare battery so all can be kept together and saves space.

Do Festool do any box bundles like this? A combo-drill, impact driver, one charger and a couple of batteries in a single box? If so can someone direct me. Or must they be purchased separately?

Thinking of treating myself for christmas  [cool]

I don't believe so.  Festool has done systainers that have space for a supplemental tool but I don't remember a package of drills together.

This does not really answer your question but since it was already answered, and since I was thinking along the same lines about the Festool drills and drivers at one point...

I decided the Festool drills were really neat but expensive and did not contribute to the system as much as the other tools.  This was after Festool discontinued the impact driver and before they introduced the TSC-55.  I did not need the Carvex so I was not invested in the Festool battery and charging system except for the CXS, which is different than the full size drills.

I ended up choosing the Milwaukee M18 Fuel system for drill, impact, Sawzall and a variety of other cordless tools.

The M18 drill, impact, charger and a variety of bits and accessories fits nicely in a 5 drawer Systainer which makes it handy to transport on the Sys-Roll.  The blow-molded Milwaukee case has not been seen since the day I received the tools.

The M18 Fuel tools are heavy and I prefer to use the CXS for the many tasks it is suited for, but for full size drill and driver tasks the M18 Fuel tools have given good service.

Festool does not sell a package with a drill and a impact driver.

There is only one package they sell at the moment in Europe, a combination of T18 drill and PSC 420 jigsaw in a sys-3.

Jeff,
I thought the same as far as festool drills. I have quite a few milwaukee tools I'm upset though because the drill chuck sticks. I bought a new drill because of it since it was just as much to get a bare tool than a new chuck. After a few months the new one is sticking. I have to use a pipe wrench to loosen it.  [mad] I'm not going to replace it this time. I got a Fein 1/2" drill to replace it.

I've not opened the Fein yet. I don't want to get it dirty, I guess it's for a special project. And yet I'm working on a special project right now.  [big grin] It's for my wife, she's my favorite customer. When a toolnut box comes to the door she drags it in and says there's some boxes that just came. I always thought she could read and well ...she's... I guess I found a keeper.

Anyway, one of those boxes came yesterday and it was a 4 drawer sortainer to hold my air nailers. I didn't have time to fuss with it when I opened it, but my Milwaukee compact drill was sitting on the bench next to it so I layed it in the bottom drawer, it wouldn't shut because of the belt clip. So there's some info for someone wanting to know how shallow the bottom drawer is, I sure hope my pin nailers fit because that's why I bought it. [unsure]

What about the sys3 insert for the ti-15 and another drill?  Is that insert a spare part?

You can also order the insert for the Makita mak pak, they do an insert that will hold drill and driver. Needs a slight trim but fits perfectly in a sys 3

Partnumber for the Festool TI 15 Basic systainer insert for a T-Loc SYS 3 is #703202.
There's room for 2 drills like the C/T/TI models.

Now that looks like a good piece of kit!! Like it. Although I now need some top advice about what drills to have if there is no impact.....

I'm a professional joiner and site carpenter. I like a drill to pilot and a drill to drive screws. Often working with hardwood. I like the option of a hammer drill for quick, lightweight masonry tasks battery life needs to be good. I'm not fussed about size but the power and balance needs to be there. Suggestions please!!

I cant find this insert anywhere. I was under the assumption that this is what would show up when i bought my t15 basic to go with my impact. Now i gotta buy a sys3 systainer and the insert if i can even find it?

I recently received a questionaire from festool all regarding an impact driver and what functions do I use etc. I am sure these went out to all registered festool users.

This is a good indication that festool are indeed planning to bring out an impact driver in the future. Then I am sure they will do some package deals.
