So my wife "asked" me to build a table for her sister's dog since the one she had fell apart. I dug around in my shop and came up with some 2x4 pieces, some 3/4" ply, some maple edge banding, and a piece of Formica. I milled the 2x down into appropriate size an used them for the legs and stretchers. 5mm dominos are used for the 8 joints. this is also the first thing I sprayed with my new Fuji MiniMate 4 turbine. I'm told that Mandy (the dog) is very happy with it.

Now since this table is much nicer than our hooligans old, repaired, hand-me-down, I am sure that SWMBO will want me to make another for our mutts. It really isn't a bad little project for using up scraps.

You could have used some wood with the bark still 'onnit'.

Looks great Bob!  Did you put some rubber feet on it to keep it from dancing around the room?  I like that it actually looks like a dinning table with the apron under the banded ply.

Good on ya,

Cheers. Bryan.

Thanks Bryan! No feet, haven't really had an issue with movement whilst the dogs are eating. I think having it against a wall helps. If one had a vigorous eater that might certainly be a good idea.
