I am a proud owner of a Kapex saw and the UG stand for it. The UG stand was primarily designed for portable use as in taking the saw to a job site. Since all my work is performed in a garage shop I found the I was always having to move the saw around as I am space challenged in a two car garage. MY issue was I feared that while tipping the saw back and wheeling it about was a way I could move it I also know that if I accidentally tipped it too far I could lose control  of the saw and have it fall and possibly be damaged. Thus I designed a cantilevered caster setup that allows me to safely roll the saw around my shop with no worry of tipping over too far. My design in no way changes or modifies the UG stand and said stand can be converted in less than five minutes to original setup. The trick is in the bottom support plate which attaches to the UG stand with just two 8mm by 40mm I think machine screws. In addition to the bottom support plate side support plates are employed. A rear support is used as well to attach the cantilever arms. The unit is constructed of 3/4 inch plywood and 2 X 4 material and is Dominoed (All my stuff is) together. Two 2.5 inch locking caster wheels are used. When fabricating this I leveled it so it would function properly with the UG left and right extensions. Now I can move my Kapex with great ease and safety (For the saw).
