Domino 500 connector limits

Hi, partly in relation to my thread about Padauk slab,

what is the max depth a domino 500 connector can be used, measured from the surface? See photo showing dimension requested. Max distance the drill guide can drill for the bolt hole.

The size is always 8mm, and its intended to be used with material from 18 to 28mm thick. So, in case of 18mm, you will end up with (18-8)/2 = 5mm from each edge, providing you cantered it.

It's adjustable from 5 to 10 mm from the surface to the edge of the hole (9 to 14 mm to center).
But that's limited by drill guide design. You can mortise with Domino lower, than lay out the hole position manually and drill it to whatever depth needed without the guide.
