Domino 500 connectors and 3/4' melamine

Good Morning,
I am planning to build a large bookcase from 3/4 melamine. The size is 2.1m by 2.1m and 30cm deep. I want to use melamine as the bookcase needs to be glossy white. Because of the number of shelves and the size, and since I already own Domino 500, I am contemplating using a Domino 500 connectors (do not have the connectors set yet). 
A couple of questions:
Can I use an 8mm cutter with 3/4' melamine without being worry about damaging it? Will 15/25 drilling depth be ok with 3/4" melamine?
Will Domino connectors hold the construction sturdy?
I have never worked with melamine, but my basic research made me worry a bit. Will melamine work for this or perhaps I should be looking into the ply and prime/paint it at the end?

We use the connectors on melamine very often with no issues.  I mainly use the 5mm pin connection (kv-lr32).  I use it mainly for onsite assembly. I find them very useful for glue ups on melamine.  Very small percentage of my work is melamine (250-300 sheets a year ) but the connectors held up well for me. I add confirmat screws whenever not visible

Edit; If you need additional strength, you can opt for ply core melamine

Just to clarify, you are referring to 3/4” or 5/8” melamine?

All my local suppliers carry it and it can also be had in many colors/finishes

Did a search of Home Depot USA and saw nothing, did a web search looks of stuff from China in abundance but nothing that any wholesale dealers in southern Ontario carry. I will contact a couple of suppliers and see if its priced in the stupid zone or a unicorn here.

Not to get picky but its not melamine finish like whats found on particle core or MDF thats a paper that is hot fused on the board, its HPL like found on countertops. Not available in Canada from the depot but you could get it laided up for about for $100.00 + a sheet depending on the HPL. The site also doesn't have a price even in USD.
