All,

Just bought my first Festool; a Domino 500.  Works great!  The only problem with this thing is it generates lots of dust.

I have a Porter Cable 7812 from years back, and want to connect it to my Domino 500.  I'm guessing this has been asked before, but does Festool sell a coupler which threads onto both the 500 and the 7812 hose?  thanks in advance

Martin, you may be able to use a Fein step adapter.

Fein adapter

A Festool vac hose will fit most shop vac intakes so that's an option too. You won't be able to use an anti-static hose.

An anti-static hose will fit and function as a hose, but unless the vac is set up for anti-static you could save some bucks and buy the Festool non anti-static hose.

Well, I suppose the antistatic festool hose works great, but even at that, the price is just nuts.  I have a perfectly good vacuum, and don't want to replicate something I already have.  I heard once that one of festool's couplers will thread onto both the 500 and the PC 7812, but I don't know which coupler to use.  If anyone would know this, it's the FOG forum.

One thing you can look at too is Bosch hose -- which can be a less costly alternative or use one of the stepped adaptors like Fein offers.
