Domino 500 question

I have had my domino for about 4 years and the base plate is pretty scratched up and i am having trouble seeing the registration lines.

Is there a good way to highlight the registration marks so they stand out better from the scratches?

Use a square and a  scratch awl or a razor knife to sharpen the line visibility.  Then use a sharpie pen to fill the line with color.
