Quick post about my experience with Festool repair service. My Df 700 is about 18 months old and when using it last week to joint up some 8/4 white oak it started working intermittently. Turns out the armature needed replacement. I  Dropped the  tool off on 12/16 in the afternoon and received a call on Tuesday 12/26 the tool was ready for pickup. Wow, by far the best service I've received in years
Thank you festool

I recently bought the Domino 700 and used it for the first time today in my shop with the 14mm cutter. after cutting maybe 30 holes with it, it stopped working. I was thinking that the huge cutter was making it hard on the motor and it would reset shortly after cooling off. after several hours, still nothing. my domino 500 works in the vacuum plug so it isn't the vacuum plug. I don't suppose there is a reset button, since I cannot find mention of one in the owner's manual. I will be calling festool tomorrow, i guess [sad]

Packed the domino up and sent it to the service center. It got there on a Friday. It was on the way back to me on Tuesday, and the fix was reset the spring on one of the brushes, which had come off! Nice quick turnaround. Thanks Festool!
