I use the Domino in virtually every furniture project and often take it for granted. Occasionally, mistakes happen that remind me just how accurate and repeatable the Domino is. In this case, I miscut the mortises in the lower back rail of a dresser build. Dry fits really are necessary and I was able to determine the mortises were 1mm off in either the lower frame or the leg. To repair, I plugged the mortises in the rail with dominos and used a flush trim saw to trim the excess. I then reset the Domino fence to obtain the proper alignment and used the original marks to recut the mortises. You can see the remnants of the domino plug in the photo and the recut mortises did provide a perfect fit.
