Domino Connectors for flat leaves of an extendable table

Hi,

I am making an extendable table.  i would like to use the domino connectors to join the table and the leaves to the table.  That would make the join very tight and sturdier.  The top and leaves of the table are 1 1/4 thick. Do you think that DF500 connectors are strong enough? If yes, i don't need to buy the whole Domino Connector Set KV-Sys D8. I would just need connectors for flat surface. Is Center Panel Connector MSV D8/25 what I am looking for? I just need to join to flat boards.

If the DF500 is not strong enough, i imagine I have to go for the DF700.

Thanks a lot!
Alex

The domino connector should go underneath. I just want the leaves to stay together and even. i know there are table lock. I imagine a domino should be stronger.

Thanks

isn't the KV D8/50 for corners. Would that work  also for flat boards?

I like that system. If I have to several tables, that system would be easier but more expensive [big grin]

It says it's for corners, but there's no reason the embedded piece can't go in a flat alignment of wood like you are looking to do. I think you will have trouble with the center connectors since you won't be able to get the depth right, seeing as you don't have an actual center board to go through.

If you use un-glued dominos for alignment, you could use a sash lock to pull the parts together - 2 would probably be enough.  Something like this:https://www.amazon.com/Defender-Security-11062-Centers-Nickel/dp/B00SV09K70/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=sash+lock&pd_rd_r=357e73b6-3e89-4d29-b47c-a7958873eecd&pd_rd_w=F8ioS&pd_rd_wg=xv8Xw&pf_rd_p=67c9d84c-d98a-4415-a549-dd3360e9d207&pf_rd_r=8NDC426HCRV0HWNZVXD4&qid=1567628930&s=gateway&sr=8-12.  The disadvantage is it would hang down under the table.  If you want it to not be visible, the domino connector should work.
