Just wondering if anyone (particularly European Festool users, who have had access to these for a year now) has made a calculation on buying the connector set systainer vs. buying the pieces individually -- I have a bedframe project coming up, but don't foresee that I will need a huge number of connectors right up front, so I'm unsure whether to get the systainer, or even how significant the savings are (don't necessarily need another systainer anyway, and would be happy to store those components in bins.)

Hi Edward

If you really are just looking for one (or the next) job then buy the individual items. However, as with everything else (dominos etc), if you think that there might be more opportunities later then go for the set - you do at least get the Systainer so everything is organised and in its place.

When they come to US next month you'll be able to get the contents of that systainer for about the cost of the entire systainer set (that includes some wooden dominos that are in the set). Keep in mind the set has flat connectors that are no good for your bed project.
From the set you can assemble: 32 corner connectors and 16 flat ones + bunch of cover caps and 32 wooden dominos.
