I have a new domino, followed many videos and read the manual. I fixed one alignment issues by swapping out one of the tabs, but the main one I have no idea how to fix is that the right hand side of the height fence moving when tightening. See video and issue it's causing.

Anything obvious I'm missing? Can't see anyone else with this issue.

Undo the screw retaining the handle, pull off and turn the (anti-clockwise from memory) handle to allow more tightening, and re-tighten the holding screw.

Talked to Festool, seems like a bunch of things are out of alignment, they said do a service repair so they can re calibrate it, would have done an exchange but past the 30 days at this point.

I'm really surprised Festool said to send it in if it's just the issue of the clamp not holding tight enough? This is quite a common issue with the DF500, and there's actually aftermarket locking handles for the DF500 that are spring loaded to make adjusting the holding tension easier without the need to unscrew it.

Oh it was more than just the height guide, the dogs/tabs are about 3mm out of alignment with no combination of swapping the tabs out to get end joints flush
As well as vertical plunges being about 2degrees out of horizontal.
I'm guessing it was either faulty out of the factory or the shipper/carrier drop kicked the thing. While rare, I've heard of some others having this problem, they send it in, Festool realign the motor or something, then all is dandy.
Just not a great experience for literally my very first tool from them...

Wow that's unusually bad luck. Hopefully you get a pristine Domino back from Festool so you can enjoy the awesomeness they provide!
