I am build a table. The legs are 1.75 inches square and the aprons are 4.25×0.75 inches (the top is 74x33).+

I am new to dominoes, but it seems to me that I could use either the 6mm domino (about .24 inches thick, leaving about 0.25 cheeks) or the 8mm domino (about .31 inches thick, leaving about .22 cheeks).
Which domino size would you recommend that I use? Also. would you recommend using two dominoes (one above the other, equally spaced) on each joint?

Thank you.

[member=76310]dupres[/member] , thanks for asking the forum. I would go with the 6mm, as that is 1/3 the thickness of your stock. Use the 1/3 rule when deciding which domino thickness to use.

For the size of your apron, I would go with 3, evenly spaced dominos.

Please see my illustration for clarity.

I can’t see them either.  Don’t think it’s you, [member=76310]dupres[/member].

Ditto, I also get an error message when I try to view the images.

I noticed I have to download them then open a viewer on my PC.
Most times images are viewable in the post within your browser.

Who is the largest one that would fit. Make sure you have enough meat so it won’t poke through the side or the back and will hold it over time.

I'm with Ben on this one. 3 of the 6mm Dominos in a line on the centerline of the 3/4 apron.
