This might be old news, but as a new Domino convert, it's new news to me.

I had to repair Domino slots at each end of 16 face frame pieces. I had not tightened the fence on the Domino sufficiently and it had crept upward with each slot. What a mess! I filled the holes with carefully shaped Domino tenons and then mounted the Senaca Woodworking plate to the Domino.

This plate automatically sets centers the cutter for either 3/4 or 1/2 inch stock.

It's a tad awkward to use, but lets the Domino cut absolutely perfectly centered slots. You have to use the Domino upside down. Sounds hard, but gets easier after a couple of cuts.

the dominoplate is a great jig alright. it was developed from an idea on of the members here had. ron wen then developed it further  and did a great job.
i dont think i have used my domino the normal way since for stock that is in that range.

...domiplate...a fantastic bit of gear.
Received mine 2 weeks ago, made 4 domino drawers on the week end with it, piece of cake.
Only one gripe, I wish we had a choice of anodizing colours to choose from, like the H&S contractor chisels  [wink]

We offer the same color choice(s) that Henry Ford did when he started...  [wink]

Actually, we just met with our anodizing vendor this week -- the only true color choice for "hard" anodizing is with no dye which makes the part the ugliest military drab you've ever seen or with black dye.  There is a myriad of color choices available but decorative and not close to the ~55 Rc wear hardness that the true hard anodize offers.
