Domino problem - width knob shaking

I was using my Domino (metal pin version, about a year old) to cut large (50mm) mortises in SYP posts. I looked down and the green knob used to adjust the width of the cut was shaking back and forth. It wouldn't stay in one position. I had to get the mortises cut so I continued and the cuts were fine. But I'm concerned about the knob shaking back and forth. What could be the problem? It doesn't seem it should be loose. I've got to cut more this weekend. Can I continue to use it that way?
