In another post, I referenced a Domino Review by a fellow named Gary Katz.  He's a finish carpenter who has several written books and articles on the subject. He's also the moderator for the Finish Carpentry forum on the Journal of Light Construction website.

He has some very interesting ideas about finish carpentry and design.  If you get a chance, you might want to take a look at his articles on trim carpentry here:http://www.garymkatz.com/trim_techniques.html and some of his design articles here:http://www.garymkatz.com/charts_drawings.html.  Pretty good stuff.

But back to his Domino review....  In His review Gary wrote:

Let me tell you why I think the Domino is worth every penny of it's price tag. First of all, this is a dangerous tool: it must be kept out of the hands of non-professionals—homeowners, serious enthusiasts, motivated do-it-yourselfers, etc. Here's why: a tool like this can turn a neophyte into a professional over night. So if you see a Domino in your local store, be sure to buy it before it falls into the wrong hands.

I thought it was good material to jiggle Clint Holman's chain a bit.  ;D  Gary's complete review is here:http://www.garymkatz.com/ToolReviews/festool_domino.htm.

Regards,

Dan.
