I will be purchasing this soon for a job coming up. Who has used these for bed frames? Do they seem reliable for long term?
Also the set screw wrench, is it a standard Allen? I will need to provide one to the customer.

In my video I made some demo joints and they were still excellent about 4 weeks ago when I went to salvage the wood.

Part 1:

Part 2:

The Allen key is a standard one.

I got the connectors from Axminster a few months ago. I have a twin bed that needed a new connector on one joint. I installed one connector and one domino on the joint. It seems sturdy. What I didn't like is how far they stick out. We are not using the bed so really do not know how it will hold up.

I don't understand what you mean by sticking out. The only thing exposed should be the cap.

You are correct. I should have explained better. When the joint is not connected the domino and connector stick out about 1 7/8 inches. When the joint is connected there is no protrusion. I attached a picture. Most connectors I have seen for beds do not protrude as much. Maybe because I was looking at the bed with the old connectors and the one new connector & a domino it just stood out as much longer. The picture is a practice joint I did on a 2X6.

I see what you mean now. Thanks for clearing that up.

Has any stress tests been performed?
Is there any data showing the results?

In case you need to transport / store material with prepared joints: just pull out the domino and unscrew the anchor bolt (the split anchor will stay in safely as it has permanently bitten into the wood) and it won't stick out anymore.
