Domino XL DF 700

If JRB and others are right, that's not much of a game changer.  35mm is about 1 3/8 inch.  Better, but not exterior door level.  Only way I could see going for it is if they offered a trade in program.

good one ken [poke] [poke] we all know about JMbs after hours activities [blink] [huh]

Wow, the translator really got into her role! All her ooooohs and aaaahs!

The tool looks great and it looks like Festool have listened to customer feedback with the D-handle and the built-in registration pins.

Ohh, come on Shane, don't play dumb... (note to self: resist the urge to make a joke Shane's expense, must be strong [tongue]).

Go to the 5-minute mark in the video and look at the distance the thing plunges.  That looks to me to be a lot more than 40mm.  What's everyone else think?

John

The translator explicitly says the Domino shown is "14cm".  So, 70mm *on each side of the mortise*.
That thing looks like a planer with a foregrip.  Monstrous.  Awesome!

I am telling you, should work great for interior door construction.

Seems faster and better then dowels or making a big single M&T for your cope and sticks.

Man that do hicky is plain awesome. If they come out with that monster here in the US I would definately get one.
