Domino XL DF 700

I have a DF 700 whichI bought new about 6 months ago and the "top handle" which is the casing really, seems to have some play in it. It still works ok but I don't really like the movement. I visited my retailer and looked at a new one on the shelf and there is a bit of play in it, but not as much as mine. He suggested sending it back to Festool but I wondered if it is an adjustment thing I can do myself ? I am UK based. Thanks Giff

I think mine has a little play as well.  I will take a look later.  It's not bad though, I have never thought I should send it back.  It's probably one of the best tools festool has produced.

I checked mine and it doesn't have any "play" at all.  I really don't see how it could unless the handle is cracked, etc.
For what we pay and since Festool gives excellent service I would call them and ask to have it fixed or replaced. 

I would guess they actually appreciate notification of issues like this so that their engineers can determine weaknesses in the product & correct them.  Perhaps there is an issue with the molding design or process for the housings.
