Before I reinvent the wheel, has anyone come up with a jig for for the Domino to help with the weight?  Its a brilliant machine, but I struggle when doing lots of repetitive cuts on small bits as it is heavy!  I was thinking along the lines of fixing a bracket to the base plate that can sit in a vice to carry the load and then bring the wood to the machine.

Thoughts?  Thanks

Probably not the answer you want, however my experience of using both Domino machines tells me that if you're struggling with the weight of the Domino XL and end up finding it heavy it's because you're over supporting the machine, because the workpiece is probably too small and lightweight for the XL to actually be the appropriate tool, and you should switch over to the 500 instead.

So I think the bad news is you've discovered that even if you use the Seneca adapters or even obey the rules of thirds and use the 8mm standard bit on 1" stock, there isn't really a substitute for owning both machines!

What about a bungee cord heading up towards the ceiling or rafters?

I agree the 700 is a great machine but for smaller projects the 500 is better suited. I'm personally not a fan of the Seneca adapter and feel each tool is designed for the right job.
