I know i should just wait to see what it'll be, but has Festool USA confirmed a price for the larger style Domino yet?

I'd like to start saving for it now

Thanks
Benn

Yeah, sorry I don't have more to share. I have little doubt that the FOG will be plaster with that info the second it's announced. We have a good group of dealers represented here who are good about distributing information to customers very quickly after it's released, sometimes within minutes of learning about it themselves.

If I had to take a guess, I would say we still have a couple of months before pricing is finalized and announced.

Relative price between 500 and 700 in UK and Oz differs, so it's anyone's guess. Probably expect about +30% over the 500 and some good prices on the systainers full of Dominoes IMO.

The accessories fit both and the RTS giudes also fit (though the self centering guide is the one to consider where the XL is concerned).

$1975 down under (desperately trying to think of something big I need to make!)

My guess was around $1300 for Canada.  But with this recent overall price increase since that original estimate I did in September, add $30 to $50 now.

With all the testers, do we expect changes that will be different from the XL released in Europe?

I doubt that is the object of the exercise I think it is purely about marketing a new and exiting exciting product..

that was the spell checker [big grin]

My money is on 1300-1350. And something like 225 for the domino/cuter assortments, each. I can't see it being more than 30-35% over the 500.

I'm having a hard enough time swallowing what the 500 costs.

I'm sure it'll be worth it when I can finally get one, but I can't for the life of me figure out why the price would be so much higher than even most of the other Festool power tools.

It is what it is, I suppose.

I thought the same thing But I had worked out just how  much time it would save me ,so thought it was worth the punt.I must say I had under estimated just

how much of a game changer it is. I quickly formed the opinion that it is actually a cheap machine, but dont tell festool.. [wink]

I read that. It just got a lot more expensive.  [poke]

The Domino is my favorite tool. If the house was on fire and I had to pick just one, that'd be it.

I've felt that way about virtually all of the Festool tools I've bought so far.

I'm fairly confident that I could sell my used Domino for more than I paid for it new 3 years ago.  How many tools do we own that appreciate in value?  [wink]
