Why Is There So Much Confusion About the 100th Anniversary DF500???

I've been tracking the release of the 100th Anniversary DF500 and it's been a bit crazy. $1100 for the Domino with just the Support Bracket. Then Ultimate Tools posts about the kit coming with the Trim and Cross Stops for the same price, but on Festool USA, still the same kit with just the Support Bracket.

Tonight - just a few minutes ago, I decide to have a look and there's the pic on Festool USA of the kit with the Cross and Trim Stops, but click on it and you get the old kit.

I guess we're 80% sure that it's going to be the kit with Trim and Cross Stops but I'm surprised that Festool would be so seemingly disorganized about the release information. Mainly because I've been thinking about selling my DF500 for the new kit.

Our offer in OZ comes with the stops, but not the special systainer which is a shame for those wanting the set.

In Europe the anniversary bundle is based on the "Plus" bundle, it is also called the same and all photos were apparently made for that.

In some markets, US included, there is only the full-hog "Set" version offered normally, so the local distributors had to decide (like FUSA did) if to modify the bundle, adding in all the accessories, potentially to an shipment already on the way ..

It is pretty obvious this was a late decision, possibly based on a typo/mistake at some point. Either way, was apparently done after the (global) web assets were already up ... they probably did not have any pictures to replace the ones on the web once the call to include the accessories was made for the US market.

Be happy, it is likely thanks to this last-minute mixup you get such a great deal in the US. In Europe there is only €50 savings to be had ..

If anyone wants these, I would jump on day one. At that price, IMO these will be gone fast ..

Like Peter noted from our website, Festool USA is aware their site is wrong. They are waiting for Germany to update the website.

In the U.S. it will come with a cross stop and trim stop included.

A quick update... I received an email around 5pm today from Festool USA letting me know they have corrected their website.

Well, I checked Festool USA and glad to see the contradictory posts have been corrected and the webpage data updated.

Going to guess they'll just bundle the DF500 with the stop and the special price. Saves shipping over the actual set  [huh]
