Domino XL-Rust issues.

HI All,

I've owned my Domino xl for two years now, when not in use it is stored in the systainer in my garage. Has anyone experiences rust or corrosion problems with the Chrome (appearing) guide rod's or push rods that are integral to the fence/plate? Any thoughts on how to treat the tool, and is there any conditioning advice to prevent this from becoming a larger problem?
I've noted increased resistance from when it was new, but nothing major yet.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Do not want to ruin it.

I had that happen to one of my OF1010s also. I just assumed that it was from my hands/sweat. Mine happened it the summer, rather than unheated winter. I just cleaned it off and made a note to be more careful about it. I have a can of Tri-flow, that I use as a protective treatment. I just wipe the columns every time I put it away. I do the same on the Domino, but not as often.

I use a very light coating of Ballitstol oil for these surfaces and it works great.
