Hey All.

I noticed that my Domino XL and T15+3 came from factory with a little bit of a fine oil on some parts.

After dusting off then I wood like to apply some oil to keep it smooth and as rust protection.

What oil could I use?

Best regards

The oil you might be noticing could be separation from the grease in the tool(s). Edit: this isn't anything to be concerned about and it will not jeopardize the performance or lifespan of the tool.

If you are going to apply an oil, I'd recommend a light machine oil. But, would recommend that you contact our service department for the best advice.

Shane, thanks a lot for you reply.

I did notice the same kind of lubrication on the Domino extra cutters and they are connected to the tool. So I think it is not separation of the internal grease.

Some times I have a hi volume of uric acid on the hands and every metal I touch gets rusted. That's why I'm concerned about it.

I will try T9 from Boeshield and let you know.

Once again, thanks for your time

Ari, it may also be something applied to protect against corrosion. I've noticed that on the Kapex rails and other sliding parts before.

If I'm not using the Boeshield as you mentioned, then I often use Camellia Oil for hand tools and blade edges.

Ari. I have been using Boeshield on my Domino,1010 and 1400 rails, Lighty sprayed and then a light wipe off. It has worked well
