Whilst im in the mood for some Domilove ill share my back leg chair jig. :D

Pic-1 at the top shows the jig. Its two of the exact chair legs you are using screwed on to a base and the stops are mirror imaged "exactly"

Pic -1 at the bottom shows closer detail. Its very simple but super fast and accurate.

No1 Stop is for the side and back rail mortices.

No 2 is for the bottom rail for the back splat.

No 3 is the top of the leg where the index pin is pushed up againsed.

Pic-2 Shows the 4 plunges made.

Each one has its own settings

No1 back rail and No2 bottom splat has a 28mm height.

No1 side rail has a 42mm height (a 42mm block is used as a height guide)

No 3 top has a 20mm height.

All mortices are using the 10mm bit and 25mm depth.

Pic -3 Shows the completed leg. That leg hasnt been scraped or sanded yet as thats how it comes straight of the bandsaw

Hope you all can understand it  ;D But its very fast and accurate. Another great use for the Domi ;D

Tezzer,

Very creative!!!

I really like how you have this set up to index for both the left & right hand legs.  This would certainly speed the layout & accuracy of doing a "set" of chairs.

"Thank You!!!" for sharing your jig.

I would never have thought of using duplicate chair legs.  Thanks for the great idea.
