Click to expand... Yes, use 4mm tenons, which are the equivalent of 5/32". So, that's roughly 1/3 the thickness of 1/2", which is the rule of thumb for tenons.

Click to expand... Brain fart, Tom's right the 4mm cutter is too short to blow through 1/2" material. Note that the 4mm cutter is shorter than the other cutters, so adjust accordingly because the depth gauge will be inaccurate.

D darita Member Joined Jan 23, 2007 Messages 462 Sep 2, 2015 #8 It's a pretty simple shelf/cubby unit that will be holding some antique clocks that aren't very heavy. I'm using a driftwood stain to make it look like weathered wood. It's all cheap pine. Construction is very simple.
