Does anyone have experience using dominos or biscuits to reinforce casing miters ?  I'm doing 25mm x 64mm oak window casing, pre-assembling by gluing the miters with a 8x50 domino centered (and at a right angle) in the joint.  It occurred to me that a biscuit might be a better choice than the domino because it's longer and would resist twisting better the domino.  A biscuit would also be faster and cheaper.

Dominos resist twisting better than biscuits.

I prefer Dominos.

Dominos for me. If you are worried about twisting use two plus than it is a stronger joint.

That depends on the size and material of biscuits and dominos. Wide and flat tenon better resists twisting than narrow and thick with equal cross sectional area. Biscuits are typically not solid wood though.

I used biscuits until about 4 years ago, then I changed over to Dominos and sold the biscuit cutter.

On 3 1/4" (83mm) wide trim, I use 2 each 4mm x 20mm dominos spaced 2 5/8" (67mm) apart.
