Domiplate Order Thread

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS AND YOU DO HAVE A DOMINO, SHAME ON YOU.  I KNOW MY CAPS LOCK IS ENGAGED, BUT I CAN NOT STRESS THIS HIGHLY ENOUGH!  RUN, DO NOT WALK, TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND SEND RON YOUR MONEY.

I got mine today (actually probably earlier in the week, but my wife just checked our mail today).  I made two test cuts, then proceeded to make 48 mortises in some fairly large file drawers.  I used 5mm dominoes in 1/2" Baltic birch ply and they come out dead nuts PERFECT.  I'm not sure its been said before, but I like having the Domino inverted, as it moves the dust chute to the opposite side, which enables me to grip the barrel of the machine rather than the tail (I have really large hands, so this has been an issue for me).

THANK YOU RON!  I look forward to years of use from this great, simple addition!

Okay, you sold me on it.  Ron, you got any on hand?

Another tip that may have already been discussed is when using the machine vertically, extend the height of the fence all the way up, adding to the stability and giving more room for your supporting hand.

Great gadget!

I have placed this accessory on my Santa list.  [big grin]

Ron,

I just ordered the Domiplate, knob, screws, etc.    I'm looking forward to this.

Thanks,

Dan.

I ordered the domiplate and accessories at 10:38 and received confirmation of shipping with tracking number at 11:15 .  Lightning fast or what.

Thanks Ron

Santa delivered a Domiplate for Christmas.  Thank you to Ron, and especially to Ron for being Spousal Unit Friendly!   [thumbs up]

I got a chance to play with it today and:

Question:  "Peter, You tend to be long winded, but can you summarize your thoughts on this accessory?"
   Peter:  Yes I can.  SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!

Question:  "Anything else you would like to add to that?"
Peter:  If you have a Domino - BUY IT!

NOTE -- I am very low on DomiPlates ( Christmas RUSH!) so please drop me an e-mail that I can acknowledge before placing an order.  I need to get busy &  build up a supply.   I am driven to always get orders into the mail shortly after I receive them.

You mean you do not take off Christmas week like the rest of the world?

I can attest to Ron not taking a break! I ordered my plate on the 23rd iirc and received it today! Got it mounted, can't wait to use it!!!

Thanks Ron!

I ordered the domiplate on Dec 26th and received it in Canada on Jan 6th.  Excellent service, excellent product. Thanks

I read that with my red/green 3-D cardboard glasses that came with a Grand Funk album, uh, years ago and it was cool how I could make it jump around by shifting my eyes.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post and introduce myself to the forum.  I'm Ryan Wenner;  Ron's son.  First of all, I just want to apologize to anyone who's been anxiously waiting to order a Domiplate:  we've made a few IMPROVEMENTS!  But unfortunately this batch has been delayed at one of our vendors (hint: anodizing!).    I've been helping dad out with some of the other 'business' details too.  Next week we should be launching a new website to take orders for the Domiplate. Also, we are working on several new tools that should be available in the coming weeks.  I'll post more details soon here in this thread.  In the meantime, I just wanted to say hi and that it's great to be part of this great community!

-Ryan

Ryan,

Welcome to the FOG.  I hope that you are a chip off of the OLD block  [poke] because there are many here who really appreciate that block.
