I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but can we actually purchase the domiplate in the uk? Or has anyone had one shipped from the u.s. And at what cost? Thanks

Why don't you contact the manufacturer.  I believe that they will sell and ship internationally.  The package is small so the cost shouldn't be too bad.

I bought one this month.  Seneca shipped it same day by USPS (as requested) and it took 10 days to get to the UK.

Then on USPS's tracking system it showed as delivered, but that just meant it was passed over to the Royal Mail who didn't bother to let me know for another five days later.  I had to go to the main Post Office Sorting Office (in Truro, 20 miles away) to collect it, and they stung me £15.47 for VAT and handling.  I gather most parcels get through unmolested.  But if they pick on you too, be aware Royal Mail are still operating in the Victorian era; they don't take credit cards and ask for you to take the correct change!!

Seneca get a 10/10 for making a great accessory and shipping it promptly.  Royal Mail get 1/10, and that's being generous because I'm a shareholder!

I recommend it, especially if you use ply a lot, as I do.

thanks for the info Andrew, couldn't agree more about our postal service, they're dire at the best of times! I will be using it mainly for cabinet work in kitchens etc.... Seneca are showing out of stock until next month so guess I'll just have to be patient :/

It's certainly been great for me on the 500..
In summary the 500's mortise centres at 10mm, the domiplate is "offset" by 1mm for 18mm sheets or 4mm for 12mm sheets centering the bit.
However it also provides a more solid base and although sets the machine upside down its works very well.

Adsjoin where are you located? Our electrical sub is headed to Nottingham next month.
He will be returning with two empty suitcases. If you are near there I'm sure he can bring one or two.
Mean while I'm looking for some help in the Nottingham area to pick up some NAINA items.

I enquired about purchasing the dominplate, XL, parallel guides and Rts adapter. Shipping was $18
Was waiting for stock of the plate which I believe is now in place. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info. Yes shipping costs are what you said but they're still showing no stock :(
I've pm the inventor direct to see if he's got an idea of when they'll be restocked. Thanks. Love the quote at the bottom of your profile :)

If it's any help I will be ordering those parts in 3 weeks when I'm back from jollys.
So if you want to pay for it upfront and have them ship it with mine that's fine. My mother in law lives in Whitington so I could arrange to meet you to deliver.

That's a kind offer, thanks. If I'm not sorted by then I may just take you up on the offer :)
