Hi
Anyone know if you can swap the DSC AG 125 FH diamond cutting tool's dust  and protection cover over to use the base rail cover attachment easily? I assume it is the same grinder tool just the covers are different.
I am unsure as to what version to get and if I get the FH freehand version could I at any stage simply swap the covers to use it on a rail?
I would see myself using it to cut Hardie board type sheets, and tiles for nice straight cuts , corrugated iron and then freehand for general grinding cutoff tasks.

I myself have all 3 DSC/DSG 125 grinders.
The dust covers on all 3 are easily removed.
It can then be used as a normal grinder/cutter for metal parts.
A separate spark cover is also available for these grinders (Protool #649346).
However buying the dust covers separately is quite expensive as always with Festool parts.
And be aware that the collet on these grinders are not compatible with other brands.

Me 2 [big grin] based on the idea that you can never have too many angle grinders! As said .. it's a better deal to buy the complete units.

I only have two.

...but I make up for that with a RAS115 and a couple of Bosch grinders.  [big grin]

I don't even use grinders all that often but when needed the Festool grinder is first choice and the Bosch grinders were cheap so they float around as loaners and for measly tasks.
