DTS 400 and RTS 400

Are the bodies of these two sanders the same and the only difference is the sanding pad?  Could I buy a sanding pad for the RTS and put it onto the DTS?  They look the same in the catalog and the specs look the same.

I asked this question some many months ago and there was a thread on it.

The answer is no as far as a factory option is concerned but if you are prepared to invalidate your warranty and strip the machine down it is possible to do.

Not something I would recommend, but if you search for the previous discussion you will see what has been done.
