I switched over to mainly using the Dubuque clamps a few years ago after reading comments here. Love them and their lighter weight. I have stocked up on 2 and 4 footers but wanted to go bigger. Usually that is where they really get pricy unless you have a local source because of the shipping charges on the large ones. Just got a notification that Taylor Tools had restocked and the prices aren't bad, but for the 6 footers the shipping ends up free. Thought someone else might benefit: https://taytools.com/dubuque-universal-aluminum-bar-clamps?&a_2=v_3504&cid=2626

Thanks. It will be nice to have a few of the dedicated 6-footers in the shop. I've been connecting clamps together for lengths over 50" so I don't have to drop out the black iron pipe and clamp heads. And with the Dubuque, they will be much easy to handle.

Peter - Harry Epstein store is still located in downtown Kansas City MO. Killer on the shipping is the length I would imagine.

My Dubuque clamps (14 in total) are mostly 24" and 36". It's indeed a "Buy Once, Cry Once" deal. They are my go-to clamps unless something longer is needed.

It’s a good thing HJE isn’t anywhere near NYC. I’d be almost perpetually broke.

For those of you who are not too far from a Woodcraft, I ordered a couple of the Dubuque 36" recently and they brought them in - just had to pay the regular Woodcraft price. Saved on shipping.
