Thanks for the review of this sometimes overlooked gem.  I really liked your idea of clamping the dowel in the Bessey, allowing the entire surface to be sanded.  Gonna use that one next time I have to sand a piece like that.

I'm surprised, BTW, that Festool hasn't made a systainer insert for all the profiles yet -- seems like an obvious money maker.
