Is any one hooking up a standard Festool 27mm hose to this little sander?  The diameter of the port on the Sander is just a bit large for the rubber connector without me performing some mod to the hose .

Don't be a cake!  I've been fitting mine to Festo 27mm hose ends for years.  OK it's not ideal, but neither is it problematic.

Take it in hand!  Show it who's boss.  Don't molly-coddle it.

You WILL lose your tiny O-ring seal from the mid-end of the sander's duct.  Inevitable, really.  Otherwise it's a firm fit requiring a firm hand.  That's all.

If in doubt there's always the Metabo/Bosch 19mm/5m hose with 25/35mm push fit ends, which mates well to a Festo 36mm hose.  Trouble is the acoustics of the setup at full suction sounds like the exhaust of a gas turbine & 80,000revs!  Turn down the suction to tame the scream.

Not a problem, just give it a firm squeeze and twist. Not that I have used mine in the last three years since I purchased a Rotex.

Well, the general consensus is More Wellie ....or is that welly...
Okay, thanks for the replies... [wink]

You could ask for one of those stretched out Festool hose ends a couple of guys were complaining about last week.

. I had thought about dedicating one of my many 27mm hoses to the Metabo and gently modifying the tool end of the hose to fit the Metabos' plastic port so I didn't force the hose onto the port and crack the plastic if I got in a hurry.
