The other day I was posting about my tool trailer and mentioned my Makita LS 0714 slider's dust collection cap.  I made a video of it today.  I cut 21 pcs of 3/4 particle underlayment 10" wide.   I Chose not to shorten the video so there would not be any questions.   I used my $29.00 Rigid vac and a 14'  1 1/2" hose.    I had cleaned off the saw and work area prior to the cuts and again at the end.   Hoping someone with a Kapex would put it in a similar closed area and make the same # of cuts in the same medium and see how much dust was left in the machine and area.

Here is the Un/cut :D :D video..... skip through the middle if you want.

PS... the coat has a special padding as well   :o

It's cool to see the tools in action. That's a very low amount of dust left over there. I'm very curious how the Kapex will perform in the same situation.

What's it with you and padding? You got a padded room in your house as well?  :P ;D

Wow, that's pretty good! My 10" bosch slider made way more dust then that...

On another note:
I don't want to criticize you, but, aren't you worried about your hearing and eyes?

That was one of the most helpful videos I have seen and it has helped me make up my mind that Mitaka will be the SCMS I will get. Thanks a lot  :) :) :)

BTW from the specs it seems that the blade may be interchangeable with the TS55. Do you know if it is?

I,ve been eyeing up that Makita for a while.Seems very smooth and portable. Now I know the dust collection is good too.To see other saws compete would be interesting. Thanks for the vid Craig.

Worried no.  but i only brought out the saw for this demo so I didn't run it more than a couple min.  Eye protection. you are absolutely right  ;)

Thank you! I am glad you found it helpful,  on my saw (North American) the arbor is 5/8"  and is designed to run a standard  7 1/4" blade for rough cutting (according to the Makita Rep I spoke with.)

I have seen Craig's trailer, and it is a site to see.  Compact and versatile (no pun on the tile part Craig).  The littel Makita was indeed interesting.

PS.  Thanks again for your help at our Katz Show Craig.  It was great to have you down.
