Hi everyone,

I am new to Festool and own the TS55 (Love it by the way  [big grin]) with a shopsmith dust collector.  Everything I have are 2-1/2" and 1-1/4" hoses.

Here is what I do in my shop:
- Table saw
- Mitre Saw
- Sanding
- general cleanup
- Planing / Jointing of wood (Not alot but still do some)
- Kreg pocket hole joinery (1-1/4" dust collection)

A recent project got me to thinking about selling my sanders / dust collector and buying these in Festool for the dust collection reason.

So .. I have two questions 1) What dust collector would people recommend for the activities I listed below and how would convert to 2-1/2" and 1-1/4". 2) I am thinking the RO90 is a good first festool sander to buy. Do people agree with this?

Thanks for all of your input!

I use a JDS dust collector for all of my larger dust creating tools (table saw, planer, router tables etc). I also have a festool CT22 for all of my festools (sanders, domino, ts55, above table routing). It's a great combo since I'm only reaching for my festool hose for all of my festool tool tasks!

My .02!

I use the CT 22 with my Festool goodies in the shop, a CT Mini when I take the show on the road, and a ShopVac with a Dust Deputy with the table saw and planer.  If I'm doing much routing in the shop, I move the Dust Deputy there to conserve bags for the CT 22.

welcome don.
it depends on what you mean by table saw and planer . if these are big tools and not portable little ones then a chip extracter with a pleated filter is the only way. if they are small then a ct26 and seperater will do the job.
