I know that Oneida DD is probably well made but this topic is more towards the overall costs of these devices.

The original DD is quite pricey and its clone the Dust Commander is almost 50% cheaper but what about the global built quality ?

If anybody has any feedback on the Dust commander that would be appreciated !

Ordered a Dust Commander DLX antistatic today, so I have to see if I can get it to work during the holiday. Need some hose as well, and ordered an ash extractor to use the kettle as resevoir.

I purchased a Dust Deputy.  The one with the two five gallon buckets.  I do not regret the purchase for one moment.  I think I paid $100 for it, and it will save me that many times over in vacuum bags.

I can't speak to the other version.

I am completely satisfied with the Dust Deputy.
