Dust Extractor Promotion - Thinking of CT36

I have a small shop in my basement, with a Domino and several random orbital sanders.  I currently have an old, small Fein vacuum with a Craftsman power activation switch.  I'm thinking of upgrading to a CT36 given the current dust extractor promotion.  However, the CT36 is several years old at this point, and I'm wondering if the current promotion is a fire sale ahead of new model announcements.  I'm new to Festool, so I don't know if this is the kind of thing they do or not.  Any experience, ideas, or new model announcements that I'm missing?

Festool's product life cycle is on the order of 7+ years. We won't see a replacement for the CT 36 for many years to come. Additionally, we always see new products launch in Europe 6-12 months before they make it to the U.S. market. And there's nothing new on the radar when it comes to the CTs other than the new Festool CT SYS, which happens to be excluded from the promotion.

So, feel safe making your upgrade to a CT 36 that a new model isn't imminent. Also, Festool doesn't do fire sales. [wink]

Feel free to reach if you have any questions.

I am in a similar situation except with a CT22 that I would like to use elsewhere.

I doubt we will get a useful answer regarding a replacement for the CT36, at least while the promotion is still on.  But it is basically a vacuum, so assuming it does what is is supposed to do I don't really see a downside.

Last year there was a similar promotion on the Kapex and accessories, so far no replacement for the Kapex.
